Vintage scarf top in various colours and designs
I love vintage scarves and have a collection that rivals my #embarassmentofteatowels. We'll call it a #magnificenceofscarves.
These versatile tops are superb. Perfect for over your cossie at the beach, over either straight or palazzo pants, over a straight skirt or a full gather, cinched or tied at waist band.
Each top includes a casual leather-thong belt, and they look great loosely pulled in at the waist or tied in the front with a chic knot.
Great maternity wear as well, with a generous width, use the leather to tie under your bump.
These lovely vintage scarves date from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Mostly acetate, which washes well, holds its colour fantastically, is largely non-crease and packs well. It was the post war miracle fabric that meant stronger colours and creative freedom for fashion.
I've sewn 2 scarves together to make a loose fitting, slip over top. Each top comes with a leather tie. The scarves are cool to wear, with loose arm holes for ease of movement.
Fabric: each top is made from acetate or silk vintage scarves. Some signs of wear and ages are visible. This is part of the fabric and story of these lovely vintage pieces
Care: cold hand wash, or gentle machine wash, dry in shade. Do not tumble dry.
