New Zealand Kowhai vintage linen teatowel souvenir cushion
A really lovely and elegantly dramatic vintage linen teatowel featuring a wonderfully detailed illustration of the NZ Kowhai flowers. Native to New Zealand, the cascading flowers were a source of yellow dye and when they come into bloom, late winter and early spring, it heralded time to plant kumara (sweet potato).
I love the deft illustration - the strong graphic against the black linen background. A wonderful addition to any room, and a great gift for your Kiwi cousin or your NZ neighbour.
Reversed with duck egg blue linen, and fits a 50x50cm cushion insert, not included, closed with an invisible zip closure.
