London Post Office Tower vintage linen teatowel
A glorious vintage linen teatowel celebrating the completion of Post Office Tower, Fitzrovia, London, in 1964, when a revolving restaurant was the last word in elegance.
At 624 feet, it held its position as tallest building in London until the 1980s.
This is such a wonderful scene - the bustle of the 60s street, the modern tower thrrrrusting above the lovely old London sandstone buildings, the modern fashions and cars. It's such a great teatowel, I can't bear to turn it into a cushion cover, so here it is in its pristine glory.
A great gift for the '64 that you adore, the amiable anglophile in your life or your design loving dog sitter. Framed, it will be a wonderful piece of art.
Size: 77 x 51 cm.
Fabric: original vintage linen teatowel in pristine, unused condition. A price tag has left a slight mark in top right corner.
Care: cold machine wash, dry in shade. Do not tumble dry.
